Hi, I’m Matthew Box, the founder of Southern Star Rentals.

Ever since I was a kid, my family and I have spent countless weekends and holidays exploring the Australian outback. Camping, travelling remote tracks, and experiencing everything the bush has to offer became a way of life for us.

Over the years, my dad, Nic, realised that while many people dreamed of having those same adventures, not everyone had the confidence, experience, or equipment to make them happen. That’s what inspired him to start Allstar Camper Hire—giving others the opportunity to explore Australia’s incredible landscapes with the right vehicle and gear.

Watching his business grow and seeing so many customers return home with unforgettable memories inspired me. It showed me the impact that helping people experience the outdoors can have.

That’s why I decided to follow in his footsteps and create Southern Star Rentals. Our goal is simple: to give more people the confidence and freedom to discover Australia, create lifelong memories, and experience the adventure that has meant so much to our family.
